Ballet Through Borders 2025
In 2025, Ballet Through Borders marked an important year of recognition and transition. Founder Amandia Scotti received the Service Above Self Educational Excellence (SASEE) Award and was also honored with a $3,000 Lake Oswego Rotary Club Service Scholarship in recognition of her leadership and community impact. That year, the organization collaborated with local artist Haeyung Chun, whose ballet-inspired artwork was featured on Ballet Through Borders cards and notebooks, blending visual art with dance to support the foundation’s mission. All profits made from selling the art went to support the 2025 camp.
Amandia is continuing her studies at Duke University as a pre-medical student. She applied her scholarship toward her education while remaining closely involved with Ballet Through Borders. During this time, her sister, Julieta, is stepping into a larger role by assisting with and teaching classes—helping to ensure continuity as the organization evolves.
